Reuge
Music Boxes
The founder of Reuge, Charles Reuge, first
settled in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland during 1865 where he began
manufacturing pocket watches with small music
box movements. Business continued and
his son, Albert, carried on the company name Reuge and opened his
first workshop making musical movements. The Reuge factory still
occupies the same address in Switzerland to this day where they make
a range of musical movements from single tune 22 note through to
complex multi tune 144 notes.
